Career Services: Support For Your Continued Growth

Our MS in Accounting program will not only provide you with the knowledge and skills you need in order to be successful in accounting, it will also provide you with a strong professional network that will enable you to grow and develop your career. The timing of the program enables candidates to launch their careers in January–the industry’s busy season, when accounting professionals are in high demand. Global, national, regional and local area firms have been well pleased with the MS in Accounting alums who have joined their ranks. In fact, alumni of the program often reach out in order to hire recent graduates. In the past five years, 98% of graduates with authorization to work in the U.S. have ended the program with job offers in hand.

Students who enter the program without existing job offers receive assistance in their career search. Advisors meet with candidates to better understand their aspirations, critique and circulate resumes to surrounding firms and hiring agencies, and conduct mock interviews. Faculty referrals and career guidance are common along with networking events featuring local firms and alumni from the program.

Over half of our students enter the program with a job offer contingent upon completing 150 credit hours of study in order to become CPA exam eligible. These students are welcome to visit with an advisor or faculty member to review career options, refine their resume and make alumni connections
