Admissions
You'll need to independently apply and gain admission to the School of Law and the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. You must be admitted by Northeastern Law before seeking admission to D'Amore-McKim. Many candidates complete their MBA application during the first year of law school.
Northeastern Law admissions requirements
Applicants to the Northeastern Law must submit their application through the Law School Admission Council.

JD/MS in Accounting/MBA
You must apply and gain admission independently to both Northeastern Law and the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. You'll enroll first in Northeastern Law before seeking admission to the D'Amore-McKim School of Business during either your first or your second year of law school.
Once enrolled through Northeastern Law, you can apply to D'Amore-McKim's MBA program with the following deadlines:

Northeastern Student Financial Services publishes the tuition rates for the JD/MS in Accounting/MBA program. Under the “Graduate Programs” section, the cost per credit appears next to “D'Amore-McKim School of Business Programs.”
Financial Aid
Northeastern's Student Financial Services team will guide you through options to help you finance your graduate education. You can learn more about graduate financial aid options on their website.
Once you become a student, your financial aid advisor will work with you to answer your questions, and provide valuable insight as you navigate the financial commitments of your program.
Scholarships
D'Amore-McKim and Northeastern University offer a variety of scholarships. As a MS in Accounting/MBA applicant, you'll automatically receive consideration for a merit scholarship. The following scholarships are also offered for MS in Accounting/MBA candidates: AmeriCorps/Teach for America, Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars program, City Year, Latin American Achievers Scholarship, Prospansica MBA Scholarship, Posse MBA Scholarship, Reaching Out MBA Fellowship, and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Graduate Fellowship. You may qualify for funding support as an alum, U.S. servicemember, or veteran.

Curriculum
In your first two years of law school, you'll take required courses that explore significant cases and precedents—and you'll develop your lawyer's mindset, learning to think and write analytically. You'll complete two law co-ops working in legal departments, law firms, government agencies, judges' chambers, or other settings.
Starting your third year in the program, you'll complete a 15-month course of study at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. Alongside your accounting and business coursework, you'll also pursue a concentration in Analytics. This will prepare you to excel as Big Data impacts the significant sectors of the accounting industry, including audit, tax, finance, and advisory.
You'll also have the opportunity to work at a top accounting firm during the busy season in a unique corporate residency program, where you'll make a real impact as a valued team member. After your residency is complete, you'll spend your final two semesters of the program in the School of Law.
Co-Op and Corporate Residency
When it comes to giving students the opportunity to learn by doing, there's simply no place like Northeastern. Through three immersive experiences, make meaningful contributions to your host firm and be able to see your classroom learnings make a difference in real-time. You'll build the confidence to take the next step in your career and the experience and credentials to get there.
Two legal co-ops
Your co-ops give you the necessary legal experience to ensure you graduate with an impressive resume. You may have the opportunity to work at a law firm, international or government agency, legal services or advocacy organization, public defender office, union, corporation, or federal or state court in Boston, throughout the United States, or abroad. Depending on your placement, you may interview witnesses, research and write legal briefs, or represent clients in court.
Note that JD/MSA/MBA students will complete two co-ops rather than three.
One accounting corporate residency
Your paid corporate residency gives you real experience working in accounting—plus the chance to build your network at a Big 4 or other globally known accounting firm. During your three-month residency, you'll be paired with a seasoned mentor for one-on-one guidance.
This residency definitely isn't about watching from the sidelines—it's a fast-paced, exciting immersion in the day-to-day realities of a top accounting firm. You'll be working at the associate level during accounting's busy season, so you'll have real responsibilities and solve problems as part of a team.
