Research & Teaching Interests

Professor Dodgson’s research interests are in the area of judgment and decision-making, with specific interests in the auditor-client relationship, auditor-client negotiations, auditor independence, and professional skepticism. Professor Dodgson’s teaching interests include auditing and financial accounting.

Industry & Academic Experience

Before joining the D’Amore-McKim School as of Business at Northeastern University, Professor Dodgson worked in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in corporate finance for Tory Burch. She also taught several courses during her PhD program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Services to the Profession

Professor Dodgson is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of the American Accounting Association (Auditing and Accounting, Behavior, and Organizations Sections). Professor Dodgson is a member of the editorial board for Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, and she also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting, Organizations and Society, and Behavioral Research in Accounting.
