David Hardesty is a Partner Emeritus of Wilson Markle Stuckey Hardesty & Bott. In addition, David has written seven textbooks published by Thomson Reuters. These books cover taxation, financial reporting, SEC compliance, and corporate governance. David also provides consulting services relating to international taxation, taxation of electronic commerce, taxation and financial reporting for share-based payments, and corporate governance. David teaches the online course, International Taxation: Inbound Transactions, for Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business. He also teaches Taxation of Electronic Commerce for the Golden Gate University's Braden School of Taxation. David began his career at Touche Ross & Co., now known as Deloitte. David is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. David graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Taxation from Golden Gate University. In recognition of his work as a writer for Thomson Reuters, Accounting Today voted David Hardesty one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting for 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008, and he was named by CPA Magazine as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Practitioners, for 2005 and 2007.
