Northeastern's Huntington Management Consulting, a student group that fosters experiential management consulting and strategy through intercollegiate competitions and volunteer work, placed third in this year's Scotiabank International Case Competition.

DMSB'16 students Jennie Vildzius, Dennis He, and Jacobson Truex, along with David Burdette, DMSB'17, beat out other university teams from around the world including Mexico, the Netherlands, and China to place in the top three.

The seniors were handpicked to compete under the leadership of Associate Professor of International Business Raymond Kinnunen, known as “Coach K.”

This year's competition case study focused on assisting the internationally known Stratford Festival with diversifying its audience by using business data and cost-cutting initiatives.

“This really takes classroom and co-op learning to the next level,” Vildzius said. “By being thrown into the deep end of having to consult, you have to consider every aspect of a business.”
