On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, D'Amore-McKim School of Business Deputy Dean Rajesh Aggarwal and the D'Amore-McKim School of Business Development team helped launch the Seattle Executive Leadership Council (ELC). This is the third of 10 regional and industry-focused alumni councils that will roll out over the next year. Together, they comprise the collective D'Amore-McKim National Executive Leadership Council.

Taking place on Northeastern University's Seattle campus, alumni enjoyed hearing from Dave Thurman, Dean and CEO of Northeastern Seattle, about exciting new initiatives in the region—expanding experiential learning opportunities for visiting undergrads, building a MakerSpace and Robotics Lab, and launching MS programs in Robotics and AI this fall.

During the event, Aggarwal emphasized the critical importance of the leadership councils, which is to “galvanize and empower the extraordinary talent of D'Amore-McKim School of Business alumni who will, in turn, support one another, the Northeastern University global ecosystem, and the geographic regions and industries in which they work and live.”

Seattle Council Vice Chair Ben Matheson, DMSB'97, described the four focus areas that the group has agreed to pursue in the region, which will directly impact students: mentorship, co-op expansion, recruitment of new ELC members, and scholarship support.

Senior Director of Development Karen Bean introduced the new Seattle Vice Chairs and Members, including:
