The Center for Emerging Markets' Student Associate program recognizes undergraduate students at Northeastern University who are dedicated to strengthening and expanding emerging-market-related programming and research at the university. In the inaugural cycle of this program, CEM recognized six students as the first cohort of Student Associates.

Inspired by his own experience with personalized instruction, Andrew Shenouda, Khoury'25, DMSB'25, built Tadpole to ease the administrative burden of running a tutoring business. Poets&Quants has recognized his venture as one of 25 “disruptive startups.”

As a Spring 2023 recipient of the Srinivasan Family Awards for Projects in Emerging Markets, Shreyas Mosurkal, a fourth-year Health Science student at Northeastern University, spent his final semester at Northeastern working to increase access to emergency care in remote regions of Kenya.
