The Graduate School of Professional Accounting has announced its 2023 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Fellows. These five students from the MSA/MBA program will partner with GSPA staff to champion diversity and inclusion efforts of the GSPA and support a range of programs. Fellows will be involved in assisting in recruiting efforts and communicating with students, staff, and alumni on resources promoting diversity and inclusion.
2023 DEI Fellows
Being a DEI fellow puts me on a journey of constant learning…about how we can progress as a community and how we can better empathize with one another.
Jen Chen, MS in Accounting/MBA‘23
With the DEI fellowship, I can contribute to creating an environment where individual uniqueness is respected, cherished, and embraced without fear.
Richard Amankwaa, MS in Accounting/MBA'23
As a fellow, I look forward to advocating for ‘color braveness' and increasing the representation of minority cultural groups in our professional communities to make an impact for future generations of accountants.
Opeyemi Lagunju, MS in Accounting/MBA‘23
I became a DEI fellow to continue learning about DEI and to apply what I learned in class to make our program more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
Emily Shane, MS in Accounting/MBA‘23
I value people and their experiences. I'm excited about learning about the challenges within DEI and how to create innovative solutions to some of those challenges.
Tashi McMahon, MS in Accounting/MBA‘23
