Jocelyn Robinson, MBA'20, is taking over our Instagram account this Monday as she continues her first semester in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business Full-Time MBA program. We asked Robinson to reflect on her time at Northeastern University so far, including classes, meeting new friends, and extracurricular activities. Be sure to follow her Instagram takeover beginning Monday, Oct. 15 @damoremckim.

Q:Where are you from and why are you studying at D'Amore-McKim?

I'm from California, but was born to live on the East Coast. After working here for three years, I knew I wanted to stay in Boston for school. I was also looking for MBA programs that had smaller classes and faculty who were as dedicated to their teaching as much as their research. Did you know that some D'Amore-McKim professors take classes on how to improve their teaching? That means they are constantly improving their methods and are more engaged with their students. All of this combined with the ability to do a corporate residency meant D'Amore-McKim was the place for me!

Q:What has your time been like in the MBA program so far?

First semester is like drinking from a firehose–fast-paced, exhilarating, and intense.

Q:What has been a highlight of your experience and why?

It's honestly hard to choose right now, but one highlight would have to be participating on two case competition teams. One is about emerging markets, sponsored by Cornell University and the other is about sustainable sourcing, sponsored by Anheuser-Busch.

Q:What have you become involved with on campus so far?

I'm the President of the Women in Business Club, a Senator on the Graduate Student Government and an Analyst in the 360 Huntington Mutual Fund.

Q:What do you plan on showing our community during your takeover?

I'm looking forward to showing you a day in the life of a D'Amore-McKim MBA student!
