After getting tenure at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (2001-2008), Pauwels helped build the startup Ozyegin University in Istanbul (2008-2017) and was visiting scholar at Harvard Business School in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Publications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pauwels' books include \u2018Modeling Markets' and \u2018Advanced Methods for Modeling Markets' for researchers and \u201cIt's Not the Size of the Data \u2013 It's How You Use It: Smarter Marketing with Analytics and Dashboards\u201d for managers (<a href=\"http:\/\/notsizedata.com\/\">http:\/\/notsizedata.com\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pauwels published over 70 articles on marketing effectiveness, awarded by both managers and academics and all available at <a href=\"http:\/\/marketingandmetrics.com\/\">marketingandmetrics.com<\/a>. Publications outlets include J<em>ournal of Marketing, Management Science, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Harvard Business Review <\/em>and<em> Sloan Management Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards &amp; Recognition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Winner of the \u201807 William F. O'Dell Award for the paper \u201cthat made significant, long-run contribution to marketing theory, and\/or methodology, and\/or practice\u201d (for the 2002 Journal of Marketing Research paper)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner of the 2017-2018 Gary Lilien MSI-ISMS Practice Prize for \u2018outstanding implementation of marketing science concepts and methods.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner of the 2009, 2013 and 2017 Davidson Award for best paper in the Journal of Retailing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner of the \u201809 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner of the 2011 Best Paper Award of Syntec (the French professional association of consultants) in Marketing and Decision Sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner or the 2014 Best Paper Award of the Marketing Science Institute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emerald Management Reviews Citation of Excellence 2008, 2009, 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pauwels is recognized for his work on digital innovation, brand strategy, and social media.
