About Dr. Amit Kapoor

Dr. Amit Kapoor is a leading expert on international competitiveness, India's economy, and democratic development. He is Honorary Chairman at the Indian Institute for Competitiveness, Chair for the Social Progress Imperative & Shared Value Initiative in India, and a lecturer at Stanford University. Kapoor has authored and co-authored several influential books on India's economic development, including The Elephant Moves, The Age of Awakening, and Competitiveness Roadmap for India @100. His research underpins major national reports on city, state, and manufacturing competitiveness in India. He has worked extensively with NITI Aayog, India's Economic Advisory Council, the World Bank, and Harvard's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, and has written over 1,000 opinion pieces on economic and political development.

About the Nardone Family Seminar Series

Made possible by a gift from David R. Nardone, the Nardone Family Seminar Series at the Center for Emerging Markets brings academics and practitioners to Northeastern University to share insights about emerging markets with the Boston community.

The longtime series has hosted over 150 speakers since the Center for Emerging Markets' inception, thanks to Nardone's support.
