About the Event

The Center for Emerging Markets brought in Air Vice Marshal Dr. Arjun Subramaniam (Retd.) to campus to deliver his talk, “India-China Relations: Can the Dragon and Elephant Rise Peacefully?” This talk offered a strategic and historical perspective through the lens of his book, India's Wars: A Military History 1947-71 (Harper Collins) and the sequel he is currently working on.

About Dr. Arjun Subramaniam

Dr. Arjun Subramaniam has a Ph.D. in Defense and Strategic Studies from the University of Madras. He has been a Visiting Fellow at Harvard and Oxford and lectured on Indian military history and India-China relations at Emory, Fletcher, Harvard, MIT, US Air War College, US Naval War College, and other schools.
