Meet our GSPA team, current students and recent alumni. Connect with our Northeastern network to learn more about academics, financial aid, moving to Boston and more!
Come prepared with questions for our panelists!

10:30 – 11:00 AM           Program-Specific Breakout Rooms

MSA candidates will have an opportunity to speak with recent alumni about the program, orientation, career searches and program benefits.

MSA/MBA candidates will hear first-hand how the internship experience went from current students. Staff members will be available in both rooms to answer any additional questions.

11:00 – 11:30 AM           Networking Sessions

Get to know your future classmates, program administrators and alumni network in this informal networking session.

Panelists

Sam Swain (MSA/MBA) graduated from Colby College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. Sam is excited to supplement his Liberal Arts degree with a degree in accounting. Sam is also an avid rugby player, having played for teams in Boston, at Colby and abroad in Ireland. While social distancing in the spring, he successfully planted and currently maintains a small apple orchard at his parents' home with the help of his two brothers and small terrier, Simon.

Annemarie Moy (MSA/MBA) graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Throughout her four years at Boston College, she played for the women's club soccer team. In addition, she spent a year volunteering at Bridge Over Troubled Waters as part of her philosophy/theology class. Annemarie also participated in the Summer Management Catalyst Program at the Boston College Carrol School of Management spurring her interest in the accounting profession and allowing her to obtain a strong foundational knowledge of the field.

Haley Ackert (MSA/MBA) graduated from Providence College in 2020 with a degree in finance and a minor in Spanish. While a student, Haley worked at a regional bank in commercial lending where she fell in love with analyzing financial statements and searching for areas of risks the bank may be exposed to. This internship inspired Haley to pursue a career in public accounting. She is enthusiastic about music as she can play three instruments and most recently learned the saxophone to play in the Providence College Pep Band throughout her undergrad.

Josh Woodman (MSA) received his bachelor's degree in accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He found out about the program from a friend of his who completed the MS in Accounting program in 2019. He grew up playing competitive tennis and has recently picked up golf. Josh will be working at PwC starting in the Fall.

Additional Speakers

Julie Chasse

Julie Chasse is the Director of the Graduate School of Professional Accounting and is responsible for overseeing the graduate accounting programs including recruiting, admissions, scholarships, curriculum, advising, internship, and career services. Prior to working at Northeastern, she taught college-level accounting and worked as a Tax Manager at EY.

Cassie Dennison is is the Recruiting Specialist for the Graduate School of Professional Accounting. Prior to working at Northeastern, she worked in data analytics for a technology company in Boston. Cassie received her BA in Political Science from Hamilton College and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.

Lizbeth Jones

Lizbeth Jones is the Assistant Director for the Graduate School of Professional Accounting.

Stefani Vieira is the Program Coordinator for the Graduate School of Professional Accounting.
