Meet our admissions team:

Mary McNamara

Mary McNamara is the Director of MBA Admissions. She enjoys leading prospective MBA students through their admissions journey. She also manages admissions and recruiting for the MS in Management and Graduate Certificate programs.

Mary has a passion for entrepreneurship and is a co-chair of the McCarthy(s) Venture Mentoring Network at Northeastern, a professional advisor at the MIT Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, and a MassChallenge HealthTech judge. She draws on her experience coaching and advising founders as she supports graduate business candidates pursuing their academic and professional goals.

Mary entered a career in higher education in 2019, serving on the MBA admissions committee at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She continues to serve as managing director at Angel Healthcare Investors and was a founding member of the Angel Capital Association.

Previously, she was the COO of an early-stage digital health company and a marketing VP with Fidelity Investments. Early in her career, Mary held roles in software development at John Hancock, NYNEX, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Bankers Trust Company.

Dena Snyder Headshot

Dena Snyder is an Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at D'Amore-McKim. Dena specializes in recruiting graduate students for the MS in Finance (Quantitative Finance) and MS in International Management programs. She recruits many international candidates and enjoys developing relationships with them to help them select the program that best fits their educational needs and professional goals. Dena spends a significant amount of time reviewing applications and making admissions recommendations. As part of her role, she leads informal “Ask Me Anything” admissions events where she counsels prospective students in a small group setting on the application process, understanding degree program components, and funding options.

Dena began with D'Amore-McKim in 2011 in a recruiting and admissions role supporting all graduate business programs. During this time, she enjoyed traveling and recruiting students to join the D'Amore-McKim MBA program.

Prior to coming to Northeastern, Dena worked in graduate admissions at Boston University Questrom School of Business. Before coming to higher education, she served in non-profit and government roles at the National Council of Jewish Women and SmithBucklin.

Ashley Madigan Profile Pic

Ashley Madigan is an Associate Director of Graduate Admissions, Ashley's role focuses on overseeing the admissions process for one of D'Amore-McKim's largest programs, the MS in Business Analytics. Her primary responsibilities include recruiting prospective students through virtual and in-person events, counseling applicants, reviewing applications, and making admissions decisions.

Before joining the team at D'Amore-McKim, Ashley held positions as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Boston University's School of Law leading national recruitment and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Bridgeport managing a team of admissions counselors.

Samir Saueressig is an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, Samir specializes in recruiting students for the Graduate Certificate and MS in Management programs. As a member of the Admissions team, he reviews applications, communicates with applicants, and conducts interviews. He also enjoys forming connections with prospective students by hosting admissions events and workshops and representing the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at admissions fairs and forums.

Prior to his current role, Samir worked for Northeastern as a Country Representative and Special Projects Assistant, where he helped contribute to the success of the graduate business programs recruiting and enrolling efforts by executing outreach strategies for prospective students. Samir also worked for Converse, developing and implementing Brand Marketing Strategies in Brazil, where he is originally from. In addition, he was also a member of the U.S. Global Marketing and Product Development team at Hasbro.
