Join Dr. Maria Alejandra Quijada, associate professor at Regis University's Anderson College of Business and Computing, to learn more about her studies and her bestselling book My Mental Health Struggle in Academia:  What I Wish All Business School Faculty, Students and Administration Knew.  

Dr. Maria Alejandra Quijada will lead an honest discussion about her difficulties with mental health while in business school. She will also offer her expert advice on ways to prevent burnout and resources on where to get mental health support.   

Dr. Quijada will:

  •  Present her research on mental health
  • Offer candid reflections from her own experiences
  • Provide guidance and advice for students and faculty

Maria Alejandra Quijada, is an Associate Professor of Management and Leadership.

Dr. Quijada teaches classes in management, leadership, diversity, and women in business. She completed her Ph.D. in Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her areas of scholarly expertise include organizational change, culture, issues for women in business, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She is the organizer of the Women and Leadership Conference, held annually at Regis University. Dr. Quijada holds an M.S in Engineering Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University. Her work experience includes the telecommunication, lottery, and consumer product industries.
