Engaging Students at D’Amore-McKim
The minor in emerging markets introduces students to the challenges and opportunities that face companies in countries that are rapidly developing into more developed world economies.
The Global Consulting Project is a transformative, global experiential learning opportunity—one in which Full-Time MBA students not only travel abroad and polish their global acumen but work as a team to tackle a real business issue for a multinational company in their global office.
This 3-credit course is designed to give students intense exposure to the global business environment by immersing them in the business practices and culture of a country abroad.
Visit the Global Experience Office to find dialogues and other study abroad options focused on business and entrepreneurship.
Student Experiences Abroad
77 D’Amore-McKim School of Business MBA students recently completed their Global Projects Course, a three-credit experiential learning opportunity spanning four countries on four continents. Working in teams, students engaged with large multinational companies both at home and abroad on current issues and opportunities, culminating in an impactful business recommendation and overall learning experience.
Emerging Markets Club
The Emerging Markets Club, formed in 2015, exposes students to the opportunities and challenges in these countries. The club, guided by Ellie Banalieva and Ravi Ramamurti, works closely with CEM to bring speakers to campus and to organize other events, including expanding coop opportunities. The club also organizes the NU Global Summit.
