Engaging Students at Northeastern University

The Center for Emerging Markets invites grant proposals from students at Northeastern University to conduct research, organize a conference, explore a startup idea, participate in a service-learning project, or pursue an innovative project that address pressing problems in emerging markets.

The minor in emerging markets introduces students to the challenges and opportunities that face companies in countries that are rapidly developing into more developed world economies.

The Emerging Markets Club, formed in 2015, exposes students to the opportunities and challenges in these countries. The club, guided by Ellie Banalieva and Ravi Ramamurti, works closely with the Center for Emerging Markest to bring speakers to campus and to organize other events, including expanding coop opportunities. The club also organizes the Northeastern University's Global Summit.
