Sponsored by the Center for Emerging Markets, five teams of up to four students, each from across the D'Amore-McKim School of Business, were given approximately 36 hours to prepare a 10-minute presentation based on an emerging markets-themed case, which they later delivered to a team of five judges \u2013 all from the local business community, several of whom are Northeastern alums.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cash prizes were awarded to the top three performing teams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>First prize ($2,000):<\/strong> Halle Snopek, Evan Troup, Logan Spurr, and Wade Contney<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Second prize ($1,000): <\/strong>Nicte Travino, Matilde Anacoreta, George Athanasopoulos, and Anthony Butsikaris<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Third prize ($500):<\/strong> Tarun Kandra, George Walker, and Adam Lee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other competition participants included Julia Barrow, Mikayla O'Neil, Andrew Kraupner, Michael Picciotto, Agasthya Krishna, and Mtkyta Dekhtiarenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IBC is an undergraduate student-run organization led entirely by an Executive Board comprised of Adam Burroughs, Blake Masterson, Mithilesh Tulsian, Anh Rachel Le, and Kate Bruton. The IBC's competition was funded through the <a href=\"https:\/\/damore-mckim.northeastern.edu\/emerging-markets\/work\/student-learning\/student-grants\/\">Srinivasan Family Awards for Projects in Emerging Markets<\/a>, a student grant program at the Center for Emerging Markets that offers awards to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in full-time programs at Northeastern University to conduct research, create a startup, take part in a service-learning project, organize a conference,\u00a0or pursue another innovative project that addresses pressing problems in one or more emerging
