He is a professional mediator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industry &amp; academic experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wertheim served as an assistant professor at Boston University, a research associate at City College of New York, and a systems analyst at the Westinghouse Learning Corporation before joining the College of Business Administration faculty in 1977. He has taught widely in Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services to the profession<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Wertheim serves as reviewer and Associate Editor of a number of journals. He is on the Board of the Boston Chamber Music Society and its Finance Committee and serves on the Boards\/Overseers of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, All Newton Music School, and Boston Baroque. He is a Baritone with the Highland Glee Club of Newton and rows Sweeps at Community Rowing and plays squash at the Newton Squash and Tennis Club. He has rowed in the Head of the Charles Regatta for the past three years as part of the Octogenarian Boat (all eighty and over).\u00a0 He volunteers as a math tutor in the Boston Schools and serves as a court mediator at various courts in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards &amp; recognition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Northeastern University Teaching Excellence Award, Northeastern University.
