Endowed Chairs and Professorships
The caliber of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business rests upon the quality of its faculty, who are the lifeblood of the university. Like students, faculty are attracted to institutions that support their passion for inquiry and discovery. Endowed chairs and professorships are the most powerful tools Northeastern has for recruiting and retaining top scholars and professors.
To continue to compete effectively for the best minds, the School must increase the number of endowed faculty positions.
Through the distinction of Endowed chairs or professorships, the School seeks to attract elite faculty who personify the University’s reputation as a center of excellence and a School defined by quality teaching and scholarship linked to the professional world.
Faculty Fellow Program
The Faculty Fellow program allows the School to identify and reward distinguished academic leaders who would greatly enrich the learning experiences for our students and enhance the reputation of the School and University. The Fellow provides a faculty member for a five-year term with resources to continue important research and develop academic program needs. Being able to reward professors who are either rising stars or established and who have achieved outstanding recognition in their field conveys to the public that we are serious about being in the forefront of intellectual exploration. It also serves as a powerful recruiting tool to have some of these distinguished professors remain with the University.
